To Do List Manager

Like so many people that blog or have so much on their plate that task are an everyday thing. Task managers are popping up all over. These simple to use tools are a great way not to forget things that need to be done during the day. Some of these software programs are plain and basic while others are more complex and awesome to help with all the task on your plate.

If you use Gmail by Google then here is another tool that Google gave us Gmail users. Given that most of us long ago gave over our lives to e-mail, the new Tasks tool is yet another way to get organized without leaving Gmail. It’s a relatively simple feature, but really useful for those of us already using Gmail’s inbox as an informal to-do list.

The new Task Manager features are currently part of Google Labs, which means you’ll need to turn them on by visiting the Gmail Labs tab. To activate Tasks for your account, just click the little green beaker icon in the upper right corner of the Gmail window. The Tasks section is the top item in Gmail Labs, just check the "enable" box and save your changes. After that, when you refresh Gmail, the new Tasks link will appear under the Contacts link.
The really nice, killer-feature of Tasks is the ability to add e-mail items with a single click. To turn an e-mail into a task, say a meeting you need to attend, just head to the More Actions drop-down menu and choose "Add to Tasks." Or you can also use the new keyboard shortcuts to add items to your to-do list.
Gmail’s task manager allows you to create multiple lists and quickly switch between them, as well as indent items, check them off when you finish something, drag-and-drop to reorder your priorities, and clear completed items.
